Frank King moved to Hong Kong in 1969 as the first Director of the Centre of Asian Studies in the University of Hong Kong, and lived there for 20 years before retiring to Roswell, New Mexico. Author of several books on the monetary systems of China and Hong Kong, his magnum opus was a 4-volume history of the Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation.
