Beverly Louise Hendrickson Waid was a direct descendant of Antonio M. Pico, one of 48 signers of California's first constitution. Following the line of her grandmother, Aurora Rafæla Castro Bagdons, she is related directly to nineteen of the Spanish families, who migrated to Alta California from Mexico during 1769 to 1781. Waid includes information on the Castro, Cota, Pico, Amadors, Bastidas, Bernals, Bouthilliers (or Botillers), Lugos, Romeros, and Sanchez.
