Folio. 8 pp. Illustrated with four previously unpublished photographs of Twain taken by renowned photographer A. F. Bradley. In the article, James revealed how he was instrumental in convincing Twain to pose for these photos as a fund raising effort to benefit survivors of the San Francisco earthquake disaster. 2 pp at rear listing of books by the author. Original printed wrappers in near fine condition. Housed in fine custom green leather case by Joseph Silberstein, Columbus, OH. 6 typed pages, laid in, with pencil notation at head of first page "Intro by Jack Matthews" providing background and insight into James' article. An uncommon Twain piece, not recorded in BAL nor Johnson. Item #17585
