Nicola Sacco, Bartolomeo Vanzetti and Emilio Coda were all deciples of "Galleanism" anarchy by direct action. Luigi Galleani was an Italian anarchist active in the United States from 1901-1919, viewed by historians as an insurrectionary anarchist. From 1914 to 1932, Galleani's followers in the United States (known as i Galleanisti), carried out a series of bombings and assassination attempts against institutions and persons they viewed as class enemies. It was one of these activities for which Sacco and Vanzetti were convicted and executed for murder. Coda served as secretary of the Sacco-Vanzetti Defense Committee.
