Illustrated with maps, many folding, text illustrations and engraved portrait of Bancroft. A few minor cosmetic flaws and a few hinges tender (hinges of two volumes professionally strengthened); overall a spectacular set in the scarce publisher's deluxe binding, fine and bright.
