The authors lived intimately with various tribes of Indians for many years; Edwin Deming was adopted into the Blackfoot tribe. In their Indian Life Series the authors have written and illustrated from first-hand information an account of the true spirit and atmosphere of Indian Life. 'Red People of the Wooded Country', the third book in the Series, is a story of the adventures of two little Indian boys whose homes were birch-bark wigwams in the woodlands.
