A collection of letters and postcards by Salvatore Besso during his travels to the Far East in 1911-12. Besso's premature death during his travels prevented his desire to write a book about his experiences. His family honored his wishes and published his letters, adding nothing and modifying very little. The first part of the book describes the coronation of the King of Siam, while the second deals with the Chinese Revolution.
