A previous owner (with her signature and date) of this book was Minnie Coulter (1866 - 1932), a member of the early California pioneer Coulter family. Miss Coulter was a significant figure in the Santa Rosa community, a respected schoolteacher, the first president of the Women's Improvement Club and the "Lady Assistant Steward" of the Santa Rosa Grange, an active member of Native Daughters of the Golden West, serving as Grand Treasurer, Grand Vice-President, and Grand President, winning the praise and gratitude of her sisters for efficient and faithful service.
