One of an unknown number issued by syndicator and sent to newspapers for simultaneous publication in installments, May 5-20, 1934. Each chapter forms an installment, each with full page illustration by Gustave Dore. At the top of the first page of each installment is the following: "Release... [date] ...FIRST PUBLICATION ANYWHERE IN WORLD - This copy must be held strictly confidential and must not be published in whole or in part or quoted in any way prior to fixed date of release.
