A wild West story that is "different". How Hugh got tied up with a wild gang and how at last he escaped them. The author was the widely known and loved principal of the palo Alto High School. The illustrator, Joe De Yong (1894-1975), was an American sculptor, etcher, and historical consultant for Western movies. His sculptures and etchings depicted the Old West, including Native Americans and cowboys, as well as polo players. In his career, Joe worked with the Western actor, Tom Mix, and was a protege of one of the great Western artists, Charles M. Russell.
