Our research reveals "Mom" to be the mother of Lon McCallister (popular movie star in the 1940s & 50s); his friends always referred to her as "Mom". 8vo. 182 pp. Photographic endpapers; 2 photographic plates. Foreword by Parick Dennis. A near fine copy in 1/4 black cloth over paper covered boards with 'Auntie Mame' flamboyantly embossed on front cover; silver lettering on spine; in publisher's red, white and black illustrated dustjacket (fading to spine; some rubbing to covers).
