Crumb is a fiercely independent creator whose art and writings are as provocative and colorful as they are complex and imaginative. An artist, author, and yogi, his life was marked by a brutal childhood, crushing sibling rivalry (with underground comix legend R. Crumb), lost love, death threats, and debilitating disease. - Fantagraphics. His early work can be found in publications such as Weirdo, Liquidator, Maxon's Poe (1997), and Crumb Family Comics (Last Gasp, 1998).
