In the Introduction, Garrigus writes of Castillo "Lou Del Castillo is a rebellious spirit whose rebellion expresses itself in ideas surging like angry heartbeats...[he] is a young poet, and in this first flight of his talent it seems certain that wehn this young man has experienced more of life, he will give us that experience, refined by his talent into other stimulating and enjoyable poetry."
