This copy is from the family of John Henry Nash and bears his bookplate on the front pastedown. Bound in original 1/2 coarse tan burlap and tan paper-covered boards with gilt lettering to front board. Light wear, mainly to burlap on spine and corners, else near fine. Item #21661
During the years 1903-1911 almost all of Paul Elder’s memorable and collectable works were designed and typeset by John Henry Nash at the Tomoye Press. Nash and Elder's association ended in 1911, thus California the Beautiful was one of the last books issued during their association.
