This map napkin appears to have been first published in 1956 by the Greater North Dakota Association/Beach Products Inc. of Kalamazoo, Michigan; around this time, the copyright for the map was taken over by Dacotah Paper Company in Fargo, ND. The colorful illustrated map is divided into three main natural regions—Red River Valley, Drift Prairie, and Missouri Plateau—with pictorial icons denoting landmarks, industries, and Six Native American reservations.
