SIGNED (in pencil on verso) gelatin silver print "Backlit Sunflower" laid in sleeve, as issued. Book is also SIGNED by Caponigro on second ffep. 51 striking photographs of Caponigro's iconic sunflowers. Orange brown cloth with gilt ruling & lettering; in the matching slipcase with beautiful marbled paper. A fine copy. Item #22819
Born in Boston in 1932, Caponigro studied with Minor White and has been awarded two Guggenheim Fellowships and three grants from the National Endowments for the Arts. His best known photograph is Running White Deer. His images are found in the photographic collections of most museums.
