The plan for the Island of Minoo was produced for the Imperial Government of Iran’s Ministry of the Interior in the late 1960s with the aim to transform Minoo Island (in the Arvand Rud River, near Abadan, Khuzestan Province, Iran) into a resort-development zone. The Minoo project came to an end following the overthrow of the country's leader, Mohammed Reza Shah. One side details Recommendations, the Master Plan, Financial Development and the Arcaeological and Historical Monuments. The other side shows the drawing of the project, including resort facilities, cultural and educational facilities, entertainment, sports and amusement opportunities, commercial and trade centers, residential development and collateral facilities such as utility plants, medical, office, parking and security functions.
