Being printed in Allahabad, Nehru's hometown, makes this edition one of the earliest locally produced compilations of Nehru’s words. Includes a biographical sketch covering Nehru’s birth (1889), education in England, legal training, return to India, and political awakening; and a selection of his speeches from 1916 to the late 1920s, focusing on self-determination, socialism, the Indian National Congress, and anti-imperial solidarity.
