This is the first major publication to showcase the Huntington Library’s outstanding collection of roughly 500 photographs by Edward Weston. Weston personally selected and printed many of these images for the Huntington in the 1940s. The book includes Weston’s iconic works — nudes, still lifes (especially his famous pepper and shell studies), dunes, landscapes, and Guggenheim fellowship images — along with scholarly essays. Susan Danly contributed writing on Weston’s projects, including his “Leaves of Grass” series.
